The Habitas Alula project involved the development of a high-end luxury resort nestled in the desert canyons of Alula, Saudi Arabia. The design incorporated local materials and a modular build approach to minimize ecological impact while preserving the dramatic landscape of Ashar Valley. The resort features 100 luxury guest rooms, wellness and fitness centers, a yoga deck, a swimming pool, a restaurant, and back-of-house facilities, all designed to offer an immersive experience focused on wellness, adventure, and cultural exchange. Collaboration with the Royal Commission for Alula emphasized local community engagement and sustainable tourism development, creating economic opportunities for the region.

Scope of Services:

Led master planning and design from initial concept to final execution, focusing on sustainable architecture and interior design that preserves the natural landscape and integrates cultural elements.
Provided development management to optimize the modular build approach and the use of sustainable materials while minimizing environmental impact.
Managed procurement for FF&E, OS&E, and construction materials, while also coordinating global logistics to ensure timely delivery and quality.
Supervised the full-service construction process, including general contracting and quality assurance, in challenging desert conditions.
Conducted pre opening activities including staff recruitment, training, staging, and the setup of community engagement programs that align with Habitas’ brand and sustainability values.
